Following a joint decision by LIV (Bavarian Regional Guild of Hairdressers) and NürnbergMesse, HAARE 2019 – the trade fair for hairdressers, barbers and beauticians with the Bavarian and German hairdressing championships – will no longer continue in 2019.
According to the organisers NürnbergMesse and LIV, the decision was a result of the developments of recent years. The last event in Nuremberg, consisting of trade fair and competitions, attracted around 11,000 trade visitors to the exhibition centre. “We would like to thank all participants, above all our partner NürnbergMesse, for 28 years of excellent collaboration and loyalty,” says guild chairman Christian Kaiser. LIV Friseure Bayern was the honorary sponsor of HAARE, which was previously known as Bayern Hair.
“Almost three decades of HAARE – 28 very good and successful years. But ultimately, the heterogeneous nature of the market meant that the market leaders of the industry in particular were no longer attending the fair,” says Christian Arnold, Exhibition Director Partner and Public Events at NürnbergMesse. “In future, NürnbergMesse will continue its strong association with the trades through its exhibitions. We would also like to thank LIV Friseure Bayern and all participants for the excellent collaboration we have enjoyed.”
Competitions will continue in the future
The Bavarian and German hairdressing championships showed the importance of competitive hairdressing in the sector. This is why the competitions will continue to be held in the future. The form taken by the competitions and their new location will be announced at a later date.
“For many Bavarian hairdressers, the Bavarian Championship, with its categories for ladies and men's hairdressing and cosmetics, was a springboard to success and paved the way to a successful career in hairdressing,” says guild chairman Christian Kaiser. “In our capacity as regional guild we will continue to support this kind of career boost in the future.”
